Open Wide Our Hearts and Minds: Racial Justice-A Call to Prayer, Study and Action

"Racism has rightly been called America's original sin. The need to condemn, and combat, the demonic ideologies of white supremacy, neo-Nazism and racism has become especially urgent at this time. Our efforts must be constantly led and accompanied by prayer - but they must also include concrete action.” (USCCB Statement in support of Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism, 2017)

OLA will be offering a series of events related to Racial Justice. The first is a prayer service followed by a book study.

+ Prayer Service for Racial Justice: Tuesday, June 9, 7-8pm. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook. If you would like to log in via zoom contact Mark Dannenfelser for log in information.

+ Book Study: “White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism” is by Robin DiAngelo. The group will meet June 16, 23, 30 & July 7, 7-8:30pm. Click here to Register.
