Dear New Parishioner, 

 

Welcome to Our Lady of the Assumption community! It is a great blessing when new families and individuals join our parish family. I pray that your presence here will be long and happy. I also pray that your spiritual life will continue to grow as you come to know yourself in worship, education and service.

We are grateful to God for all the blessings God has bestowed on us and, how we, through Eucharist go forth to serve – putting into practice “Thanksgiving”. Worship and service go hand in hand but we also need education so we may continue to grow and develop.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN ACTIVE PARISHIONER AT OLA
For Parish verification, required for Baptisms, Marriages, Catholic School admittance, etc. a person is to be registered in the parish, attend Mass regularly and be involved in Time, Talent, and Stewardship. This means that, along with Mass attendance, you must be actively involved in parish ministry - this does not mean merely attending events or ministry meetings. Your financial stewardship of the parish is vital to our existence and ask that you give as you are able.
