Recreation and Athletics

It might reasonably be maintained that the true object of all human life is play.

Earth is a task garden; heaven is a playground.

- G.K. Chesterton

“Sport trains body and spirit for perseverance, effort, courage, balance, sacrifice,

honesty, friendship and collaboration.”

- Pope Saint John Paul II

The mission of the OLA Bobcats Recreation Ministry is to create a dynamic environment that promotes competitiveness, spirituality, teamwork, and self-discipline. We are committed to building character, developing responsibility, and promoting sportsmanship, which will become life-long traits.

We strive to provide a quality experience for all athletes in the Roman Catholic tradition and to also provide opportunities for members of the community to gather for recreation and social events.

Adult Programs

SoulCore Classes

Fridays at 2pm in Moylan Hall beginning August 13. Sue Soha, OLA parishioner and PT/Certified SoulCore Instructor, offers SoulCore classes, which nurture your body and soul with stretching, strengthening, and balancing exercises in a socially distanced setting, while you listen to a meditation on the five spiritual virtues of the Rosary.

For more information, please contact Sue Soha at suesoha@gmail.com.

Youth Programs

Athletics competition can be exciting and intense. The OLA community provides a safe, secure and fun environment for kids to play. Parents, coaches and referees lead the way with respect to all. We do not argue with the referees. Parents provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to kids and do not coach from the sideline. Coaches live the OLA values and lead by example.

The OLA Way

Let the Coaches...... Coach!

Let the Refs...... Ref!

Let the Parents...... Cheer!

Let the Kids...... Play!
