Current Ministry Volunteer Needs

“If we wish to serve God and love our neighbor well, we must manifest our joy in the service we render to Him and them.

Let us open wide our hearts. It is joy which invites us. Press forward and fear nothing.”

– St. Katharine Drexel

MINISTRY LEADERSHIP NEEDED

Middle School Missions Camp: Help Teach the Next Generation to Serve

Do you have a passion for service and want to share it with to middle schoolers in our parish? We are seeking parents of 5th-7th graders to assist in keeping our annual Middle School Missions Camp (MSMC) going to help give many more middle schoolers this opportunity each summer! The goal of MSMC is to encourage middle schoolers to spend a week experiencing the Holy Spirit's call to serve those in need in our community. The current Missions Camp team would like to share the joys of working with this age group as they learn about social justice and how they can make a difference! The camp is very hands-on so the campers are able to interact with the agencies that serve the homeless, the elderly, children with special needs, and other service opportunities. If you have children in this age group, please prayerfully consider becoming part of the Missions Camp team and helping the camp continue at OLA. This year camp will be held the week of July 18-22. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Maria Thomas at rmsb@outlook.com.
