It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Stephens. Jim joined our parish in 1968 and was active in the choir. In the late 1970's he left the parish, but returned a number of years ago and was a regular at the Sunday 7:30am Mass.
Jim is the father of Jim Stephens, Mary Kay (Mark) Woodworth, Mark (Patti) Stephens, Pete Stephens, and Anne Stephens; grandfather of Harry (Anne) Woodworth, Will (Katharine) Woodworth, Sam Woodworth, Savannah Woodworth, and Joseph Stephens; and great-grandfather of Miller, Nora, and Charlotte Woodworth.
Jim donated his body to Emory University and his final resting place will be Honey Creek Woodlands.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1350 Hearst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319. A reception will follow at Moylan Hall.
