Meet Father Robert Pérez, OFM Cap.

In January 2021 Father Robert Pérez, OFM Cap. (Order of Friars Minor Capuchin) began serving our Latino Community with great joy and love. He has worked closely with our Latino sisters and brothers, and they have grown to care for him deeply. Father Robert has also stepped in to serve our Indonesian Community when they are unable to have a priest come to town.

Father Robert and his fellow Capuchins arrived in Atlanta in 2020 and have been renting a home near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. They have recently purchased a permanent Friary and will be moving in this summer. In gratitude for Father Robert’s service to our community and in celebration of their new Friary, our parish provided them with a small financial housewarming gift.

In response, Father Robert sent us this note:

Dear Fr. John and OLA family, peace to you,

I am writing to thank you for your generosity to us. Thank you for all of your prayers for our new house. We are so grateful to God for this gift of having a new Friary.

It is always a joy to minister at OLA!

Know of prayers, gratitude, and affection,

Br. Robert.
