Join Us for an OLA Homecoming!

Every year school communities everywhere experience a 'homecoming.' Homecoming is that special event that welcomes alumni back to their school home. Homecoming weekend is filled with great food, reunions, and remembrances that fill us with hope and life. Who doesn't love a homecoming?

Our Lady of the Assumption Parish recognizes that we need our own 'homecoming.' After a pandemic that has lasted WAY too long and after being isolated in our individual homes for an extended period, we want to experience an OLA 'homecoming.' Jesus is waiting for our full community to re-gather. He wants to fill us with the nourishing food of Eucharist. He wants us to be in communion again as a community serving each other and those in need. And he wants us to gather at Sunday Mass in remembrance of his love and sacrifice for ALL of us.

It's time to come back together for our weekly homecoming and encounter Jesus in the community and in our sharing of Communion -- the Bread of Life and the Wine of Salvation. In the Mass, which is our true home, we praise and thank Jesus for his sacrificial love and we continue our ultimate homecoming journey to heaven.

Join us in this great homecoming on the Feast of Our Lady Assumption (Sunday, August 15) weekend or any Sunday thereafter. Jesus, our Lord and brother, is waiting!

On the weekend of the Assumption, our OLA Hospitality Minstry (formerly Meals for Marists) will be hosting a light reception after each Mass - we hope you will join us.

"'Take, eat: this is my body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. As often as you drink it, do it in remembrance of me.'"

(1 Cor 11:23-26)

If you haven't already experienced a wonderful pandemic Church homecoming, it's time! Your community is waiting in hope to join with you in spirit and life.

Yours in Mary, Our Mother,

Father Jim, Father Kevin, Father John, and Father Ed
